  • Album Name:Chinatown EP
  • Artist:We Are Warm
  • Title:4. new days
  • Billy Thin's joint:We Are Warm is a dramatically melodic indie/space rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. Their sound ranges from atmospheric stadium rock to eclectic head trips to soft and sweet while filling the air with “warm” and lush soundscapes. Messages within the lyrics have passionate recurring themes of optimism and hope from the perspective of a transcendentalist’s inability to ignore the realist. They have supported acts like Sting, Modest Mouse, Bon Iver, My Morning Jacket, Manchester Orchestra, Lucius, In The Valley Below, Here We Go Magic, Star Death and White Dwarfs, Everest, The Cave Singers and more. They have also been a “spotlight artist” on St. Louis’ 88.1 KDHX, played on the 105.7 The Point’s Local Show and featured on Delta Airlines’ in flight radio. Their debut EP titled “Chinatown” was produced by Scott Hackwith (the Ramones, Iggy Pop, Spiritualized, Beachwood Sparks) and mixed by 4 time Grammy award winning engineer Robert Carranza (Jack Johnson, Beck, The Mars Volta, Pete Yorn). They have performed at the Canadian Music Festival in Toronto, Ticketmaster New Music showcases, a KPNT 105.7 The Point New Music Showcase, the Kansas City Earth Day Celebration and the Mississippi Nights Music Festival in St. Louis, Missouri. “The local indie rockers seemed to have drawn in a respectable crowd on their own merit, and I heard not an insignificant amount of attendees confessing to never having heard of the headliners before. In unusual form for any first-of-two-openers, We Are Warm were met with so much enthusiasm that they even played a one-song encore at the crowd's behest." KDHX.org “We Are Warm opened their set with “Touching the Stars with Sedona”, a song that tells you, ‘through its laid back attitude, this band has spent time in California’. As they progressed through their repertoire of songs, I found the band’s music had an extremely hypnotizing effect.” musictasting.blogspot.com - PRODUCTION/SOUND CONTACT: Derrick Streibig 314-680-2140 band@wearewarmmusic.com - PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR ADVANCING SHOW: Derrick Streibig 314-680-2140 band@wearewarmmusic.com - PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTLING SHOW: Derrick Streibig 314-680-2140 band@wearewarmmusic.com - PRESS CONTACT E-MAIL ADDRESS: band@wearewarmmusic.com http://www.wearewarmmusic.com http://www.facebook.com/wearewarm http://www.youtube.com/wearewarm http://www.twitter.com/wearewarm https://www.instagram.com/wearewarmmusic/ https://soundcloud.com/wearewarm

DESCRIPTION: New Days was originally written in 2005 and has evolved so much over the years. It finally made its first proper album appearance in 2016 on the Chinatown EP and it has evolved even more since then. When Charlie and I first started this band, the first version of this song was already in existence and it probably served as a template for us. We felt like we found the sound we were trying to create and I think that still holds true today in many ways. Our sound has diversified over the years but this tune still has elements within that is still us today. -Derrick Streibig
